The Hayes Design Group worked wih Bankson Engineers, Inc. to design an 11,000 SF addition to the existing water treatment plant for the Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority. The addition would allow the plant to treat an additional 7.5 million gllons of water each day. The scope of work includes: adding four additional water treatment filters, extending the pipe gallery for distribution, and adding an Ultraviolet Treatment Space to supplement the existing water treatment processes. Renovations to the existing building included reroofing the entire building and upgrading restrooms, finishes, and lighting. The aesthetic design incorporated matching and complimentary split face masonry, glazed block, and aluminum storefront.
