Hayes Design Group Architects provided architectural services to Duquesne University for renovations to approximately 4,500 SF of the existing 14-story dormitory structure to provide fifty new beds for the larger incoming Freshman class. The scope consisted of converting each of 13 student lounges into two separate dormitory rooms, and closing off access to the adjacent RA suite. The lounges required electrical, cable/internet, and fire protection upgrades. The project also included accessibility upgrades to provide two new hearing-impaired accessibility suites. The scope of services included preliminary spatial planning, Construction Documents, material and fixture specifications, and Construction Administration.
