CCBC College Master Plan

HDG teamed with The Collaborative to perform a College Master Plan for the Community College of Beaver County. Working with the college’s Master Plan Committee, the design team has assessed current utilization and future space and organizational needs, enrollment and demographics of growth/decline, program needs, campus access, and the overall aesthetic sense of the campus.

Space and land utilization played a large role in the planning of the new master plan. The main campus is comprised of about 100 acres and the goal of the plan is to maximize as much of the space as possible while planning for growth. Facilities at the satellite campus at the Beaver County Airport were also included in the study.

The college placed a large emphasis on deferred maintenance, and any facility alterations or designs that may emerge from the master plan will aim to be proactive and minimize repair costs throughout the campuses.
