HDG’s Matt Dawson Becomes a Licensed Architect

June 15, 2020

Matthew Dawson, AIA, a staff member at Hayes Design Group Architects (HDG), recently obtained his professional architect’s license after passing the Architectural Registration Exam (ARE) and completing the Architectural Experience Program (AXP).  Matt holds a Bachelors of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University, and is now licensed to practice as an Architect in Pennsylvania.

At HDG, Matt is responsible for all phases of design work from programming through construction and project closeout, selecting finish materials, and performing construction administration duties. He is also responsible for coordinating design and production work of consultants and managing work of HDG’s architectural designers.

Matt has five years of experience including municipal, religious, educational, and institutional buildings. Recent projects he has worked on include several park facilities for the Peters Township Rolling Hills Park, a new Police Station for Robinson Township, St. John Vianney Manor Renovations and Addition, and the Peters Township High School currently under construction.  Matt is a Peters Township graduate himself.

“We applaud Matt’s efforts to become certified and congratulate him on this achievement of becoming a registered professional.  He joined our firm after graduating five years ago, and has made steady progress in his growth towards registration. Matt is a key member of our firm and will continue to serve our clients and their design needs in his new role as Architect,” stated Kevin Hayes, AIA, Principal and Founder, Hayes Design Group Architects.
