HDG Volunteers To Beautify Allegheny Land Trust’s Bethel Green Site

May 18, 2021
Several HDG staff and family members recently participated in a community service project to help Allegheny Land Trust (ALT), a current HDG client, spruce up their Bethel Green site.  Bethel Green is located in Bethel Park near the intersections of Route 88 and Connor Rd. and Valley Dr.(https://alleghenylandtrust.org/green-space/bethel-green/).
HDG’s Sheena Sundin and Kara Holmes planted seeds for ground-cover around the entire parking area, the Campanaro family planted dozens of tree saplings all throughout the greenway, and Tim Reidy and additional volunteers cleared out invasive species and cut back bushes, trees, and vines from the trails. It was a beautiful day to be outdoors helping beautify our local community for a great cause!
ALT is a non-profit organization helping local people save local land in the Pittsburgh Region, protecting more than 3,000 acres of green space across 32 municipalities in Allegheny and Washington Counties. For more on ALT, visit: https://alleghenylandtrust.org/.
