FIRM AUTHORIZED TO MOVE FORWARD WITH CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS FOR TWO SCHOOL PROJECTS
October 25, 2013
The School Boards for West Allegheny School District and Carmichaels Area School District have approved Design Development plans and authorized the firm to move forward with Construction Documents. Both projects are expected to be bid in February 2014.
The project for West Allegheny School District involves a complete renovation of the existing 90,000 SF Wilson Elementary School and a 5,000 SF addition for the District Admin Offices. The building involves a reconfiguration of the Classrooms and the interior design features continual light wells over the main corridors that draw an abundance of natural light into the interior Classroom spaces.
The project for Carmichaels Area School District involves a 8,700 SF Cafeteria addition to the Jr./Sr. High School. The former Cafeteria will be renovated into a multi-purpose room and the entire 119,000 SF Jr./Sr. High School will be renovated with upgrades to the technology, building envelope, interior finishes and MEP systems.
