WEST ALLEGHENY AND CARMICHAELS AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT ANNOUNCE BID OPENINGS

West Allegheny School District announced the March 14th bid opening for Additions and Alterations to Wilson Elementary School.  The school interior will be renovated to provide reconfigured classroom spaces, new school administration offices, a full-service kitchen, and a new cafeteria.  An abundance of skylights will help provide more natural light to the interior of the building, and new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems will help make the building more energy efficient.  Additions include a new school entrance tower, bus canopy, and District Administration Offices.

Carmichaels Area School District announced the March 20th bid opening for Additions and Alterations to their Junior and Senior High Schools.  The schools will be renovated to better facilitate the current academic needs of the District.  Renovations will also include repair of the existing 1920’s brickwork, upgraded thermally-efficient windows, and new energy-efficient mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.  An addition including a new cafeteria and full-service kitchen with food-court-style eatery will also be constructed between the two schools.  The addition also includes a new well-defined and secure entrance for both schools.  Existing paving and landscaping will be adjusted to accommodate the addition.
